“As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.” – Rumi
Explanation
Often, we know what we want and may even have goals set. However, we find ourselves struggling to take the first step towards achieving the goals we have set.
Pursue a career goal yet, you are unsure how to start. You want to become an author, but you are unsure how to put your thoughts on paper.
You need to keep moving and take the first step towards achieving your goals.
Do your research, speak to people who have done it themselves, watch ‘how-to’ videos on the internet, read books related to what you want to explore.
Write down your plans and make them specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
This will help you make meaningful steps towards your end-goals such as career change, pursuing a course or business idea.
You cannot get to your destination if you do not take the first step. Don’t dwell on the details, but note the important aspects, and just get started.
How you’ll get there is something that will unravel as you begin the journey towards that destination.
Walk first — keep walking, and the way of “how” will present itself to you. You’ll figure it out as you go.
Mistakes make you learn and adjust your actions – Socialworkhaven.com
Explanation
Sometimes, you may even make mistakes, but in making mistakes, you learn valuable lessons.
We can gain so much knowledge from our mistakes, and all it takes is the willingness to learn from them.
Through these mistakes, you get to know what works, and what doesn’t work. You discover the impact the errors or mistakes you have made affect others.
If your life is just a walk in the park, you cannot appreciate life to the fullest and be an inspiration to others. The only genuine mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.
Mistakes teach us about integrity and the need to re-examine our intentions, reconsider our commitments, and adjust our actions. That way, we can ensure that our actions align without words.
Many people, when faced with a big mistake, pull back—to retreat. Instead, we can use the failure as evidence we are growing, risking, and stretching to meet our potential.
Mistakes help us to remember that we are not content to play it safe. That we understand that without risk, there is sometimes no reward.
Conclusion
To conclude, motivational quotes have the power to help us have a positive outlook on life.
These quotes have the power to awaken happiness and to brighten our day.
Motivational quotes can be meaningful and powerful in altering our way of thinking and helping us see something in ourselves that we want to change or overcome.
Similarly, mistakes have the power to turn us into better versions of ourselves and lessons learned can be referenced to inspire others.

Such uplifting quotes, I’ve always had the intention of posting motivation quotes on my bedroom wall. Now I’ve a collection, so I’ve no excuse. My favourite is: nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible!
Very motivated after reading those, I’ll be better able to tackle hump day (Wednesday) tomorrow!
Hello Sharon,
I couldn’t agree with you more about the hump day. Wednesdays remind us that the weekend is nearly here but not quite lol – onwards and upwards! 🙂
I love this article and the quotes. My favourite one is ”Everything you can imagine is real” Pablo Picasso. This is so true . Without visualising and be clear of what you want, you cannot succeed. We need to be clear about what we want and set goals to achieve it.
I love the one from Rumi as well, it is so true. You don’t need to have everything figured it out, the way appears once you start the journey.
This is a great post with inspiring quotes. I love how they help me with maintaining a positive mind and being the best version of myself.
Ghandi’s quote still is one of my favorite ones: ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’. Even in today’s society this is so profound and true. There are many people out there trying to control others in their ways of thinking/behaving/etc. This often leads to disappointment and frustration. You can’t change anyone else, the only thing you can change is how you feel, think and act about it. This will eventually lead to more changes around you. Thank your for sharing this with us.
Kind regards,
Catherine.
Thanks for sharing Catherine 🙂
I love it that you not only have putten down really inspirational quotes, but included some extra words with them. And I also like it that it is not just quotes from the ‘famous’ people but of yourself as well. Good quotes can be so uplifting, can’t they. This past year I have collected 366 quotes and am almost done, so now I have one for each day of the year, even in a leap year. 🙂
